Role of Women in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was such a cleanliness mission by the government of India that got the nationwide support of the people. Though every individual participated in the various cleanliness drives, the role of women was laudable. Women are considered to be a very important part of society, so they are surely more effective than others.

Since the government has always worked on empowering women, so they exhibit more powers and authority than the others. They can motivate others easily. By conducting a mass awareness campaign, they can motivate a large group of people together, and they are doing so.

Since the women manage most of the household works, they can stop the use of plastic. Even they can also deny getting their shopping item in a plastic bag and can carry a paper bag together. A woman has the responsibility of educating her children so she can also teach them to have a habit of cleanliness.

The central government has launched many schemes for women. They can take their advantage and build household toilets to keep surroundings clean. Indian states like Jharkhand, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, etc. have shown a great change under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan only by the contribution of the women.
