Lok Sabha Election Dates of India

The Lok Sabha Election 2019 for the world’s largest democracy has been declared by the Election Commission of India. The election will be conducted in seven phases across the country to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. It will be conducted for the 543 constituencies across the country which will decide the fate of the candidates contesting for the election and the future Prime Minister. The election will be conducted by the use of around 39.6 lakh Electronic Voting Machines across the polling stations in the country. There will be around 90 crores voters who will be taking part in the General Election 2019 with around 46 crores of male and 44 crores of female population. The elected candidates will be sent to the lower house (Lok Sabha) of the Parliament as MPs (Member of Parliament) who will play a deciding role in electing the Prime Minister of India.
